Nashville's John Townsend is a songwriter, musician and producer who releases music as "townsend". In his latest offering, ‘Didn't Happen’, John explores heartbreak and the complexities between the extreme highs and lows that come when something that brought so much happiness is over. “Its about the feeling you get when something good has to come to an end. When the concert you waited forever to go to turns the lights on. When the vacation you've been planning for the last year is over. Or when the relationship that brought you so much happiness breaks up. After the high everything else feels low and *almost* makes you wish it never happened in the first place.” The song has an atmospheric commercial feel tangled in an extremely emotive performance that draws on many influences and offers an insight into the multi-faceted ability John has as a songwriter.

‘Didn't Happen’ is a strong emotive piece that displays the range of a songwriter laying their soul bare.
