Let the dream pop sounds of Jesse D’Kora’s latest single, ‘the fourth day of november’ wash over you.

Manchester based self proclaimed DIY artist Jesse D’Kora has an inherently expressive  sound that comes from being a solo artist controlling every element of a track. ‘The fourth day of november’, is about the anticipation of moving from one place to another. It conveys the blend of nervousness and excitement that inevitably comes with a new beginning. Wearing his influences on his sleeve, Jesse utilizes the clean guitars trailing in delay and modulation with simplistic repetitive drums similar to artists like Day Wave and Turnover that lay a foundation for catchy choruses and a simple structure that only creates a backbone for the many layers and textures present across the track. The song has a charming handmade feel with the organic instrumentation that only comes from an artist creating in a ‘bedroom’ environment that Jesse does so well.

‘The fourth day’ is a charming piece of DIY dream pop brimming with melody and all the hallmarks of the genre.
