With all the charm of lo-fi bedroom pop the track has an excellent tangibility elevated by glistening tones and textures of perfectly timed harmonies. Sonically ‘Mouth to Mouth’ is a treat to the ears. The track is incredibly rich with layers and textures buried deep in the foundations of what is ultimately a very well written song, only elevated by its sonic palette and performances. Hang Ten is a studio project featuring members of various Wisconsin bands, their first release coming in the form of their self-titled EP of which ‘Mouth to Mouth’ is the opening track. If this first release is anything to go by, this Wisconsin collective has a bright future.
‘Mouth to Mouth’ is just the first stop on Hang Ten’s sonic highway.
