“‘In The End’ ponders over the passage of time to the gentle guitar’s weeps and lyrics patting lost love on the shoulder, wishing nothing but happiness."

Ben Staffords latest offering, ‘In The End’ is a charming home grown piece of indie folk.

Having spent the past two years steadily releasing his blend of atmospheric and down to earth indie folk, Ben is a unique artist in his ability to write songs with universal appeal that are still rich with texture and incredibly cohesive as a larger body of work. Musically and physically all releases share the same shade of blue that perfectly compliments the musical palette of Stafford that for some reason conjures up images of beach side coastal towns and a haunting sense of nostalgia and melancholy in equal measure. You really get the impression Ben is laying his soul into these arrangements and in the same vein not overcomplicating his process but simply allowing it to be.
