Hello ALLEYWAYS, how are you?

Good thanks, we’re stupidly busy at the moment but we’ve had a killer start to 2018!

Would you like to introduce the band for us?

It’s Dougie on rhythm guitar and vocals, Glynn on lead guitar, Will on kit and George on bass and synths.

How Did Alleyways Form?

We started out as mates playing Arctic Monkeys as most bands do, but the current lineup formed when we came to Leeds College of Music last year.

What inspires your songwriting?

All the songs are based around life experience, exaggerated into pop songs. We take heavy influence from bands like The 1975 and Pale Waves - any band that we like pretty much. We try to merge all of our influences into our own thing while keeping it original and fun.

What Show has been your highlight so far?

Supporting Fickle Friends with Cassia. We’re big fans of Fickle Friends so it was great to hang out and see how they work. Their live set up is pretty ideal as well, which is something we are working towards.

We heard your track Naked got featured on BBC 6 Music, How supportive has the BBC been to your development?

Jericho Keys, the presenter for BBC Introducing North Yorkshire, really helped us out by inviting us in for a live session. We always upload our music to BBC introducing, it’s great that the BBC take time out to support developing artists.

Do you have any exciting plans for 2018?

We’ve just released our brand new single Bubblegum, with a pretty sick video coming out in the next few weeks. We’re very excited to be working more closely with Scruff Of The Neck this year and can’t wait to see how that develops.

Quick Fire Round.

Best cure for a Hungover?

All day breakfast triple from Morrisons all the way!

Go to song to sing in the shower?

Ain’t No Rest For The Wicked by Cage The Elephant.

If you could have one super power what would it be?

Invisibility.

Describe your sound in 3 words?

Rough, Ready, Pop.
