Check out our top picks from this week's Hottest Hits
Up first we’ve got self-proclaimed ‘indie-glitter’ band The Seamonsters with tune ‘Wonderland’. Inspired by 80’s synths and angelic vocals, the 6-piece, all female dreamscape have conjured up this Alice in Wonderland inspired tune, which has risen to the top of our playlist this week. You’re gonna love it.
The Dead Freight
‘Reasons and Walls’ is the first Spotify single from Southampton based rock band The Dead Freights. Describing their sound as featuring ‘crunchy, melodic guitars twinned with a powerfully tight rhythm section’ the lads are set to release their Abbey Road recorded songs in the new year.
It’s the reign of the female songstress this week, with our next tune coming from the formidable Hannah Slavin and her new single ‘Daydream’. Bringing together a selection of genres and moods to create her multi-textual electro-pop, ‘Daydream’ is the answer to your wistful daydreaming.
Brighton based Lacuna Bloome have topped our playlist this week with single ‘Find Your Way’. It’s easy to see how their indie rock sound packed out shows during this year’s The Great Escape and we’ve been loving listing to these guys.
If you didn’t catch last weeks Artist Alert, then here’s your chance to get up to speed with London-based duo VŌS’s newest tune ‘Serious’. These guys have been making some serious (pun intended) moves for a while now and their latest offering has us feeling all kinds of ways. Turn this one up and put your weekend feels on repeat.
