“Olivia Wendel is super talented and it shines through her new release ‘Skipping Stones’.”

Just like the way in which nature has a way of healing itself after destruction, Olivia Wendel perfectly depicts that humans too have the same capacity to do so as well in her new single ‘Skipping Stones’. Olivia has been writing songs since she was in elementary school with her main influences stemming from the likes of Phoebe Bridgers, Laura Marling, and Death Cab For Cutie. Olivia gained the idea for her new album whilst out walking in the woods, startled by the prospect of a fallen tree in the woods alluding to the age old “if a tree falls in a forest”. As a result of this fallen tree, the album, and her new track all revolve around how nature and humans alike have the ability to repair themselves.

The atmospheric energy in the opening of the track, with the empowering sense throughout the song all convey the message of a hopeful narrative. Olivia Wendel is super talented and it shines through her new release ‘Skipping Stones’.
