Juze’s new single ‘Just Okay’ confronts lacklustre relationships through the slick metallics of techno pop.

‘Just Okay’ was inspired by former relationships and the feeling of being under-appreciated: a situation in which “one-sided efforts are seen as the standard”. “I need to leave you far behind”, sings Juze, “And you will not learn, you have no concern. For you, it’s just okay”. The track has a particularly polished feel to it, something no doubt obtained through an expansive career in the music industry spanning collaborations with Chris Brown, BTS and Felix Jaehn. Purposeful autotune complements underlying synths to create a futuristic feel and cement Juze’s status in the techno-pop genre. Melodic components are impeccably-placed, melding together to form an intricate – yet modest – web of sounds. ‘Just Okay’ sets an example for the emotive capacity of electronic music.
