“As only the first single from his upcoming EP, What is Life, we can't wait to see what other skeletons jetsetforevr has got in his musical closet.”

jetsetforevr lays the foundations of his legacy in debut single ‘Skeletons’.

Distilling the disorientating energy of late-night, early-morning parties into a hip-pop single ready to intoxicate the senses, this single sees the Toronto-based artist join forces with the electric vocals of 12AM. Lyrically situated in darkness, with a refrain that calls for death, jetsetforevr has the power to completely distract you from his haunting sentiments. Captivating you instead with an array of beats perfectly primed to numb your senses and get you moving.

As only the first single from his upcoming EP, What is Life, we can't wait to see what other skeletons jetsetforevr has got in his musical closet.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN MAKING MUSIC?

I have been making music since highschool! I started off by making beats for one of my friends and went on to singing on his hooks. Eventually I started finishing my own songs and realizing that I wanted to do this full time!

WHY DO YOU MAKE MUSIC?

I make music with the hopes to inspire others and to leave something behind. No one can live forever, but a legacy can outlive most people. I want to be able to look back at my life when I'm older and say I made a difference in people's lives with my music.

WHAT ARE YOUR BIGGEST INFLUENCES?

I would say that my music is inspired by personal experiences. My friends, my family, my lifestyle all have impacts on how the music comes out. Musically, my biggest influence is Jon Bellion! His music, his mentality on life and his authenticity are all things that I strive to put out in my work.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY HAS BEEN YOUR BEST MOMENT SO FAR?

There have definitely been several breathtaking moments in my career so far. I think one of the most memorable moments would be the first time the crowd sang songs back to me! There is really no better feeling than that. Also, I did a show in Toronto back in 2018 where I was headlining and I didnt look at the crowd before going on stage! Being able to walk on stage with hundreds of people there was a feeling unmatched!

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR SOUND TO SOMEBODY UNFAMILIAR WITH IT?

My sound is definitely unique and it's hard to place it in one specific mood or genre.  Most of the time the songs have very catchy, pop melodies and a hard hitting baseline which brings together the Pop and HipHop influences. The songs are introspective a lot of the time and are directly related to the mood I'm in while making them. I honestly like trying new things as much as I can and blending different genres!

WHAT’S YOUR DREAM “I’VE MADE IT” MOMENT?

I don’t know if there will ever be a singular moment that I will be able to touch on and say I made it. But I definitely have goals that i want to accomplish! I want to be able to tour the world, I want to be able to have a dedicated/receptive fanbase that I can consistently release music to. I want to really be able to look back after years of hard work and say wow, my music made a difference.

WE LOVE YOUR NEW SINGLE ‘SKELETONS’, WHAT MORE CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT IT?

Skeletons is a very special song to me! We reached out to 12AM about doing a song together and he was excited to see what we had, so me and BODI cooked something up for it and it ended up being perfect. I wrote the hook almost instantly and then came up with the first verse! We sent the song to 12 and he said that he messed with it! All the instruments were played live with the exception of the drums!

WHAT SHOULD WE EXPECT FROM YOU FOR THE REST OF 2021?

2021 is looking like a very busy year! I should have an EP dropping in May which is 3 songs and many more visuals coming out for Skeletons! Also have a 10 song album ready to go which will either be released as a whole project or as singles! I just honestly can’t wait to get back to shows, so I am hoping that the world opens up soon!

Being left on read is never a nice feeling, but being left on read by Stef Pesic, well … that’s not so bad.
